Suggestions on how to complete the form you received from EWUA in the mail. The four step version.
- Mark the box next to Brian Erhmantraut under step 1.
- Mark nothing else on page 1.
- Flip over the paper and sign and date
- Mail to PO Box 24.
Detailed step-by-step instructions:
- Mark the box next to Brian Ehrmantraut. Brian is affiliated with the RecallWater team and is trustworthy to cast your proxy as you wish. Only Brian and the neutral Election Inspector should know how you have voted.
- Do not mark anything where we have put a black X.
- Verify that your account number is correct.
- Add your account number, if it is not present. You can find it on your water bill or on your Eye On Water account.
- You should have one “proxy card” or form for each EWUA membership you own. If you do not have a proxy form for each membership/parcel you control, then make a copy of the form and complete one for each parcel, making sure your account number is on each form.
- Add the date you sign.
- Print your name.
- Sign as appropriate.

Why do we recommend that you do not complete step 2?
If you complete step 2, did you also complete step 1?
If you complete step 1 and step 2, which takes precedence?
If you checked the box next to Ehrmantraut or Stolmeier and you also complete step 2, which instruction should Erhmantraut or Stolmeier follow?
Do you need to write in a name under step 1 for step 2 to be unambiguous?
A much simpler form that did not have these problems was rejected and this was used instead. We believe that the form is intentionally confusing and prone to ambiguity.
If you complete step 1 only, then whoever you give your proxy to, will have clean unambiguous instructions.
The only reason to complete step 2 is if you
– Want to vote to recall or retain all seven
– Want to choose to recall or retain your own set of winners and losers.
If you complete step 2, you need to be very careful on how you complete step 1.
Completing step 1 only removes all ambiguity and makes sure that your vote counts the way you want it to.
